My client wanted clean lines, a sophisticated design and a punch of colour in her new bathroom design.
The existing bathroom design was not functional for the new owner. I created a new layout that required little plumbing relocation (which can get expensive and is messy!). There are three sections to the bathroom – the dressing room (with makeup vanity and a second sink), the luxury shower and the toilet/sink area. Built-in cabinetry served as the new closet area and storage was provided for linens and towels.
New lighting was brought into the dark space – potlights, crystal chandelier, sconces and under cabinet LED lighting. Full wall mirrors were added to reflect the light and allowing viewing of key design elements (chandelier, mural, accent wall, etc).
For the colour scheme, I brought purple into the design as it was part of her bedroom decor; but I also felt it needed more. The red vanities were perfect for the punch of colour she wanted. A dramatic black-and-white mural with a red poppy formed a feature wall and wall art in the same colour scheme tied the design together.
